ABOUT US
Unlike many other designers, Scott is a licensed contractor in landscape, pool and general construction, enabling him to service every phase of a project. He is constantly pushing the envelope with new construction techniques and developing his management systems to deliver unparalleled workmanship and professionalism to his clients.
A Masters Of Design Award winner, Scott has been featured on several Home and Garden Television shows and online features. His HGTV appearances include Landscaper’s Challenge, Designing for the Sexes, Big Splash, Sizzling Outdoor Kitchens, and most recently Get Out, Way Out!
He has been published in numerous local and national print media, such as The Los Angeles Times, USA Today, Pool and Spa News, Water Garden News, Signature Pools and Spas, Decorating Spaces, Woman’s Day, and Better Homes and Gardens. Six of his projects are featured in Ultimate Outdoor Kitchens.
He has recently published Scott Cohen’s Outdoor Kitchen Design Workbook and is on the verge of publishing two new books, PoolScapes and Petscaping. He is a member of the Contractors Board Industry Expert Program, and continues to lobby for ethical Workers’ Compensation practices in the construction industry.
HISTORY
The Green Scene began as Green Scene Landscaping in 1966, a landscape maintenance and sod company, owned by Bob Cohen. Bob's son, Scott, took over as President and Supervising Designer in 1995, and since that time The Green Scene has evolved into one of the most innovative landscape design and construction firms, specializing in resort style pools and spas, outdoor kitchens, outdoor fireplaces and fire fieatures, ponds, waterfalls, and much more!
