Tampa Bay Pools is a family-owned business that's been serving homeowners and businesses throughout the greater Tampa area since 2001.

My brother Dan and I spent most of our earlier careers serving customers in the banking industry, the hotel industry and the hospitality industry. This heavy emphasis on "making people happy" has been a driving force for us ever since our father made the decision to open Tampa Bay Pools. "High-pressure sales tactics," while sadly present throughout much of the swimming pool industry, will not be found at Tampa Bay Pools. We are simply here to help.

Our father, Ken McKenna Sr. played a key role in our decision to go into the pool business. As the Top Rated General Manager with Anthony Sylvan for over 10 years nationally, Dad approached me in 2002 to join him in his new business to handle the operations and manage the growth of the company. In 2003 he asked my brother to join us to manage the Sales and marketing for the company as we continued to grow quickly.

Quite frankly, Dan and I were shocked when we saw the striking lack of customer concern and empathy in this industry. It was instantly obvious to us that Tampa needed a pool builder they could trust and count on to take responsibility for any issues that might arise. And that has been our guiding principle ever since.
