Why do parts cost so much?
1. Parts for pool equipment and components are typically specially ‘tooled’ and manufactured for a specific application. There are a limited number of manufacturers suppliers, and dealers. The costs to manufacture, ship, and stock the parts all impact on the final cost of a particular item.
2. Many of the parts are made of plastics and/or metals and the costs of ‘raw’ materials have skyrocketed in the past few years due primarily to the rise in petroleum, a key component in the manufacturing process of most of these items.

Why do parts cost so much?
Engineering, manufacturing, handling, shipping, warehousing, carrying inventory, rent, utilities, payroll, etc. Mostly, we blame the manufacturers!!
